Thanksgiving weekend - Boston (Part 2)
Monday, November 27, 2006
So we got back home pretty late on Friday night after a long trip in the Chinatown bus on which I sat next to the toilet - bad idea. We didn't do much that night as we were pretty bushed.
The next morning we took the visitors to Harvard, it was an awesome day so it was really great.
We went to a restuarant on the harbour called the Barking Crab when we got back from Harvard. There was massive old South African flag inside which was unbelievable!
The food was excellent, the seafood in Boston is amazing. We all had the seafood platters and a couple of Stella's (best beer around - all the local beers taste like dam water).
That night we had a poker evening at my place before we hit a club down the road called the Gypsey Bar. We had a huge night and I woke up the next morning feeling sorry for myself again. We didn't have much time on Sunday so we went for some breaky to Quincy Market and on the way back I came across the sale I had been looking for since I arrived - 80 gig ipod for $ 280! What a bargain bargain. Bought it and I am now at peace with myself.
The guys left and Robot and myself went to REI and bought some ski pant, so we now have everything we need to snowboard except snow! Its a pity the bad weather Dari has been moaning about has not moved down here yet cause it still warm (50 degrees) and we wanted to hit the slopes this weekend.
Check out the gallery for some more pics and Tenacious D is tomorrow (Tuesday) night so there will definately be tons of pics coming from there.
Peace out.
